  • Honesty
  • Communication skills
  • A genuine interest in helping you

What is the most profound lesson you have learned from spending time on ranches?

Every ranch and client are very different, take time to ask detailed questions so you can find the perfect place. It may be a slower process and involve more showings, but the end result is a client who is truly happy.

If you could give in one sentence, a piece of advice about how to live life, what would that be?

Don’t waste a day, make them all count and spend time outside.

Describe your perfect work day.

Showing nice ranches to good clients.

What is your most memorable deal to date?

My first deal, the buyer was from out of state and was in a pinch to find a good place in a short time frame. We ended up finding him a property and negotiating the deal in a manner that suited his needs.

When looking for a brokerage, what drew you to West & Swope Ranches?

I had interest in ranch real estate for years before I started at West and Swope Ranches. I was helping work some cattle for a family member of Louie’s when I met him. That solidified my interest in the business, and upon graduating from Texas A&M I reached out and expressed my interest. The welcoming atmosphere and Mitch and Louie’s willingness to help me start in the business made West and Swope Ranches my first choice.

When you aren’t working your business, where can you be found?

When I am not at work I am typically somewhere in the outdoors, fishing, or hunting with my dog, Clyde.

Who is someone who has had a profound impact in your life or in your business?

My father, he has been in real estate for 30 + years and is a great role model for me.

What, or where, would be your dream ranch?

A big place in the hill country with some good surface water.
