Congratulations to West & Swope Ranches of Phyllis Browning Land & Ranch Co. for their sale of 1,678-acre Medio Creek Ranch in Bee County, Texas. This $6.3-million sale occurred on November 10 and was recorded through the Lands of America Comparable Sales program.
Located midway between San Antonio and Corpus Christi in an area of large, well-tended heritage ranches, Medio Creek Ranch is a beautiful multi-purpose property for both ranching and recreational uses. Consisting of a mix of brush and improved pasture, the previous owner had been running a productive agricultural operation without compromising the exceptional wildlife aspect of the ranch.
This area of South Texas is known for the quality of its game and hunting, and Medio Creek Ranch is no exception. With numerous creeks and drainages that traverse the ranch, wild game thrives with plenty of water and vegetation year-round. The ranch is known to produce excellent whitetail deer, along with great quail, dove and migratory waterfowl hunting opportunities.
Medio Creek Ranch is located a few miles east of the county seat of Beeville. Bee County boasts a mix of agricultural, ranching and recreational holdings. Sitting close to the Eagle Ford Shale oil and gas fields, as well as along the I-37 corridor between San Antonio and Corpus Christi, the 880-square-mile county occupies a prime spot along one of the energy industry’s key transportation arteries.
