Wildlife on the property includes improved whitetail genetics, axis, blackbuck, dove, bobwhite quail and other native wildlife. In winter months, waterfowl can be seen on the ponds. The DMP pen on the property has allowed the current owners to greatly enhance the whitetail genetics. In the past, deer up to 300” inches have been taken on the property.The low fence portion of the ranch offers whitetail deer, dove, bobwhite quail, hogs and other native wildlife.

 

IMPROVEMENTS:

Improvements on the ranch include a ranch house that was remodeled in 2014 that features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an upstairs loft.  Located near the house is a 60x60 barn and a well-built set of pipe pens for penning and working cattle with ease. The ranch is cross fenced and also offers a 5+/- acre DMP pen.


WATER:

Calf Creek, a wet weather creek, traverses the southern portion of the property.  In addition, there are two ponds on the ranch and a drainage that runs north and south through the property that holds water at times.Water is provided to the house, pens, water troughs and DMP pens by a centrally located well. There is also an additional well in the southern portion of the property that did approximately 80+/- GPM, this well is not currently working. 

 

TERRAIN/VEGETATION:

The ranch offers gently rolling terrain and diverse soils and vegetation. A variety of vegetation can be seen on the ranch including cedar, pear, mesquite flats and large oak trees. Over the years, the current owners have selectively cleared cedar and other undesired brush to further enhance the native grass production for cattle and wildlife.
